Discussion Question Psychology
First Round of Discussion Board Posting. Discussion boards are a great opportunity for socializing and learning. Be sure to answer all parts of the initial question. Some posts will require the use of citations and references (every time you discuss something you have read or learned elsewhere; you will need to give that person credit). Use APA (7th ed.) formatting for all citations and references (you can omit the DOI). References can just be added to the bottom of your discussion.
The discussion boards will consist of one initial post created by each student and at least two substantial/reflective comments on other students’ posts (NO PARTIAL CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN, i.e., it’s all or nothing, either 5% points for sufficient posts, or no points at all for this first assignment).
1. The student’s one initial post will be an answer to one of the questions in the “Changing Minds” section (found at the end of every chapter). Other students’ posts will become visible once your own initial post is submitted. The initial post must consist of a minimum of 250 words or credit will not be given.
2. The 2 substantial/reflective comments on other student’s posts are to be at least 100 words each (and should not be to the same peer). Responses to other students must be respectful of the person you reply to and reflect some significant reflection beyond low-effort responses such as “I agree with your thoughts on this” or “I like your post.” It is okay to respectfully challenge the ideas of people.
